Obituary

Alice Templet Hymel
September 11, 1954 - November 7, 2019



Alice Templet Hymel, age 65 and a resident of Franklinton, died early Thursday night November 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She worked at Winn-Dixie for several years, first in the original store and through the transition to the new building of today. Alice was then a longtime cook at The Palace Drive-In. She definitely had a “green thumb” and loved working in her vegetable and flower garden. Alice loved cooking for and spending time with her beloved family.

Survived by: Husband of well over 40 years: Brent Jude Hymel of Franklinton; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Nolan Jude Hymel, Sr. and Tina Hymel of Franklinton, Brent Jude Hymel, Jr. and Melissa Hymel of Isabel; Daughter and Son in law: Angie and Luke Bradford of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Ashley H. and Clay Stewart, Nina Hymel and J.P. Perret, Nolan Jude Hymel, Jr., Devin Bradford, Dallas Bradford, Madison Stewart, Kaden Hymel, Colton Hymel, Chevy Hymel, David Bourgeois, III; 2 Great-grandsons: C.J. Stewart, Cole Stewart; Brothers and Sisters and a Spouse: L.J. Templet, Debbie Mier, Chris Ann Templet, Jackie and Robbie Mizell, O’Neal Trosclair, Wheel Trosclair; Also numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Gwen Hymel, parents Lionel Templet and Corrine Bourg and a brother Ken Bourg.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday November 10th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 8:00 with Dr. Gene Richards officiating.
