UPDATE: STPSO Deputy Chief's Employment Terminated

Sheriff Randy Smith announces that as of 9 a.m. Friday (October 11, 2019), the employment of Gregory Longino, a 29-year veteran of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office was terminated.

nola.com reports (click here) that “Carlton Dufrechou, executive director of the Causeway, said Longino was headed north on the bridge and was clocked via radar at between 90 and 108 mph. After failing a field sobriety test, Longino refused a breath alcohol test, Dufrechou said, but agreed to a blood test, which was administered at State Police Troop L headquarters in Mandeville.”
