STPSO Employee Arrested on Causeway Bridge

Gregory Longino, a 29-year veteran of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, is on administrative
leave after being arrested by the Causeway Police early this morning (Thursday, October 10, 2019). Longino is one of four  Deputy Chiefs and a member of the STPSO Executive Staff.

Longino was not on duty at the time and was driving his personal vehicle. Longino was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail and on the charges of Careless Operation and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He was later released on a $5000 Personal Surety Bond.

“Greg Longino will be treated like any other citizen and will receive no special treatment,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.
