Tangi Murder Suspect Nabbed in Jackson, MS

Tangipahoa Sheriff Daniel Edwards is pleased to announce the arrest of murder suspect, 41 year-old
Michael Ray “Mitchell” Moore (41), of Independence. Moore was taken into custody today (October 2, 2019) by the U.S. Marshals Service in Jackson, Ms. The location and arrest of Moore was the result of a multi -agency investigation conducted by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigations Division, the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force, and the United States Marshals Service.

Moore was wanted on a charge of Second Degree Murder in the homicide of Cedrick Baldwin (38) of Independence that occurred on September 17, 2019. Following up on a missing persons report, TPSO located Baldwin's body in St. Helena Parish and learned that Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office had located Badwin's burned vehicle in a wooded area.

Jermichael Grayer, Moore's son and who implicated Moore in the murder, was charged with Obstruction of Justice and Principle to Second Degree Murder.
