Sherry Jenkins Williams, age 59 and a resident of Franklinton, died Thursday afternoon September 12, 2019 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She had an extensive stamp collection and she loved to do oil paintings. Sherry liked to go shopping and out to eat with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her pet dogs. Sherry was always a loving wife and mother and she cherished the time spent with her young grandson.
Survived by: Husband: Bruce Williams of Franklinton; Daughter: Rachel Williams and Katie Burgess of Ponchatoula; Son and Daughter in law: Samuel and April Williams of Franklinton; Grandson: Kaleb Williams; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Elvie and Willie Whittington of Tylertown, MS, Letha Holden of Greensburg; Brother: Louis Jenkins of Covington; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis Jenkins and Mavis Carter Jenkins.
Visitation will be at Star Hill Missionary Baptist Church (Hwy 438, Franklinton) on Monday September 16th from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3:00 pm Monday with Eld. Lavon Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
