Sheanie Corkern Mitchell passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Hospice House in Slidell, LA at the age of 53. She was born on January 5, 1966 in Lafayette, LA and was a long time resident of Bogalusa, LA.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 11 years, Mark Mitchell of Bogalusa, LA; one son, Zachary Tyler Billings of Columbia, MS; her two daughters, Brooke Nicole Billings of Baton Rouge, LA and Courtney “Angel” Mitchell of Bogalusa, LA; her loving parents, Linda and Michael Corkern, Sr. of Bogalusa, LA; her brother, Michael (Emily) Corkern, Jr. of Jackson, MS; and her grandchildren, Dawson and Rosie Kate Billings of Columbia, MS. Sheanie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with her arrangements. Services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Annunciation Catholic Church. Family will receive friends at 9:00 A.M. Visitation will continue until funeral service begins at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate.
