Michael J Clayton
December 21, 1952 - September 9, 2018



Michael J. Clayton passed away on September, 9, 2018, at Lakeview Regional Medical, at the age of 65. Michael was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and long time resident of Bogalusa, LA. Michael is a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Sherry Stogner Clayton of many years. He is also survived by his loving mother Rita Clayton of Bogalusa, LA. He is also survived by one son Eli Sterlyn Clayton of Bogaulsa and one step son Otis Leo Ewell Jr. and his wife Cristy of Bogalusa. He is also survived by three daughters Michele Clayton, of Franklinton, LA., Denise Sexon and her husband Jeremy of Sea Side, CA., Bridget Stogner of Bogalusa, LA. One step daughter Phillis Ewell. Two Brothers Kenneth Clayton of Bogalusa, LA., and John Clayton and his wife Terri of Bogalusa, LA. Two Sisters Effie Clayton of Bogalusa, LA., and Mary Nell Clayton of Bogalusa, LA. Micheal was the loving grandfather of seven Breanna Brumfield, Matthew Sexon, Oliver Sexon, Madison Busby, Chloe Busby and Zachary Ewell. One niece Megan Clayton.

Micheal is preceded in death by his father Murphy J. Clayton, Jr. 

Visitation will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on September 15, 2018 from 10 am until the Funeral Service at 2 pm.

Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
