Suspicious Activity Leads to Seizure of Guns and Drugs

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested three Covington-area persons Wednesday (August 8, 2018) following an investigation of suspicious activity.

A patrol deputy observed someone peeking from the open bed of a parked pickup truck and stopped to investigate. He found two males and a female, who had been smoking marijuana, inside of the bed of the truck. A subsequent investigation led to the discovery and seizure of two firearms (one having an obliterated serial number), and varying amounts of marijuana, LSD, Ecstasy, Xanax, Adderall, and drug paraphernalia, including two electronic scales, and a small amount of cash.

Arrested on various drug and firearms charges were Sylvanus Ellis, III (18), Hailey Vieregge (20), and Peyton Lewis (18).
