**UPDATE** Stolen Tricycle Recovered

Shortly after 11:00 a.m. this morning (July 17, 2018), an anonymous citizen dropped off the stolen tricycle that belonged to 12 year-old girl with special needs to the Slidell Police Department.  (Read the original story here) The citizen, who was in no way involved with the theft, was able to convince the thief to surrender the bike. The investigation is still on-going.

The license plate and flag are still missing, but Slidell Police Chief Randy Fandal is committed to replacing the stolen items. Chief Fandal says, “We are extremely happy to have the bike returned. Everything else is secondary at this point, but we will still be pushing forward with this investigation.”

Yesterday, hundreds of people and businesses from all over the New Orleans Metro area were willing to donate money to replace the stolen bike.
