Patsy Forbes
October 30, 1936 - July 15, 2018

Shirley “Patsy” Brister Forbes, age 81 and a resident of Thomas, died Sunday afternoon July 15, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Living Center. She was a member of Thomas First Baptist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher and the WMU Director for 40 years. She was a Christian woman that loved her Lord with all her heart. Patsy was an excellent cook and loved hosting and feeding her family and friends. Though she made many outstanding dishes, her specialty was pies, be it either egg, coconut, pecan or many types, that she often took to the sick or needy within her community. It brought her great joy to share that simple blessing with others. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and loved her visits to Colorado. Patsy was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother that cared deeply for all those closest to her.
