Lauresa Stewart Watts
August 7, 1930 - June 22, 2018



Lauresa Stewart Watts born August 7, 1930 went home to be with The Lord on June 22,2018 at the age of 87. She was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, La. and also a member of the La. State Department of the Deaf and Blind Association. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family.
She is survived by a son, Barry Watts and his wife Cynthia of Bush, La. a daughter, Glenda Parker and her husband Franklin of Amite La., a sister, Lula Mae Pierson of Albany, La., a sister-in-law, Betty Stewart of Pontchatoula, La., Six grandchildren, Chris Penton, Lisa Freeman, Patricia Thomas and her husband Cole, Merle Hagan, Justin Smith and Nikita Dubois and her husband Michael, seven great-grandchildren, Allen Freeman, Kaitlyn Freeman, Zander Penton, Levi Thomas, K'Shine Smith, K'den Smith and Charley Dubois and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Janie Stewart, her husband, Horace "Pat" Watts, a daughter, Janie Penton, two brothers, Lawrence Stewart and Lemual Stewart and a sister, Grace Rosata.
Visitation will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Monday June 25, 2018 beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume after 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday until the service time at 10:00 A.M. The services will be conducted by Rev. Michael Thomas with the interment to follow in the Magee Cemetery located in Bush, La.
