Johnny Ray Taylor
September 19, 1955 - June 03, 2018

Johnny Ray Taylor, age 62 and of Franklinton, departed this life Sunday, June 3, 2018. He was born September 19, 1955 to the late Milven Harold Taylor and Pearlie Mae Barnes Taylor. Johnny was the second of four children.
Johnny was a faithful and hard worker in the community. He was always willing to do whatever needed to be done. Johnny was also a very talented artist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milven Taylor; one niece, Chimere Bickham; and one God-sister, Robin Taylor Edwards.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Pearlie Taylor; Godmother, Sybil T. Young; one brother, Hilton (Vikki) Taylor of Franklinton, LA; two sisters, Pamela (Phillip) Taylor of Hammond, LA, and Marsha Kim (Corey) Taylor of Baton Rouge, LA; two God-brothers, Brian (Diane)Young of Gonzales, LA, and Steve Winn of New Orleans, LA; two God-sisters, Tammy (Marcus) Hill of Baton Rouge, LA, and Valarie (Terrell) Thomas of Franklinton, LA; one “Big Brother”, Wilson Taylor of Franklinton, LA; four aunts, Christine Taylor, Eloise Barnes both of Franklinton, LA, Shirley Magee of Long Beach, CA, and Mattie Gohlar (Aunt Matt, who affectionately called him her “Papa Joe”; seven nieces; five nephews; 29 grand nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 9 am to 12 pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm.
