Drive-Through Daiquiri Ordinance Approved in Franklinton

At a meeting of the Franklinton Board of Aldermen on Tuesday night (June 26, 2018), a Public Hearing was held (beginning at 12:45 into video of the meeting) on an ordinance that basically would legalize the sale of daiquiris with alcoholic content. Several parish and town residents spoke during the Public Hearing. Following the Public Hearing, the Board voted 3 to 2 to approve the ordinance. Voting for the ordinance were Alderwoman Patrice Crain, Alderman John Daniels, and Alderman Darwin Sharp. Voting against the ordinance were Alderman T. J. Butler and Alderman Heath Spears.
