James Theo "Jimmy" Richardson
November 26, 1929 - April 10, 2018



JAMES THEO “JIMMY” RICHARDSON, SR., AGE 88 and a resident of the Enon Community died Wednesday afternoon April 10, 2018 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Alabama and a veteran of the United States Navy and Army during the Korean War Era. Following his military service, Jimmy settled in New Orleans where he later retired from American Can Company. He then worked as a boat captain for EBI, servicing off-shore oil platforms. He then began his favorite career as a commercial fisherman. Jimmy and his family moved to Washington Parish in 1979. He enjoyed gardening and always loved fishing. Jimmy had a good sense of humor and cherished the time spent with his family.
Survived by: 4 Sons and Daughters in law:
James Theo “Jimmy” Richardson, Jr. and Katherine Richardson of Columbus, GA, Arthur James and Amanda Richardson of Isabel, Bill Richardson of Enon, Michael and Ginger Richardson of Pine; Daughter: Julia Kennedy of Covington; 12 Grandchildren: James Theo Richardson, III, Eric Christopher Kennedy, Kevin Michael Kennedy, Matthew Jared Kennedy, Julianne Maria Kennedy, Lauren Emily Richardson, Noah O’Berry, Patrick Richardson, Ansley Crawford, Sidney Richardson, Emy Galloway, John Smith, Jr.; 3 Great-grandchildren: Lillianne Richardson, Lucy Kennedy, Eric Kennedy, II; Sister: Mavel Garner of Phenix City, Alabama; Sister in law: Sandra Broussard of Arnaudville, LA; Brother in law: Bill Pettit of Houston; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Broussard Richardson, parents James Quitman Richardson and Lucy Strickland Richardson, a young sister Madeline Richardson and brother in law Will Garner.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday April 12th from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 9 am on Friday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 am Friday with Rev. Jerry Kennedy, Rev. Leon Hickman and Rev. Paul Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Knight Memorial Gardens in Enon.
Pallbearers: Arthur Richardson, Michael Richardson, Bill Richardson, Eric Kennedy, Kevin Kennedy, John Jones
Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Richardson, Sidney Richardson and Benjamin Sheridan
