Month-Long Narcotics Investigation Nets 6 in Ponchatoula

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office closed a month-long undercover narcotics investigation with six arrests and the seizure of a large quantity of various narcotics. Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and the Hammond Police Department Narcotics Unit began their investigation after receiving numerous complaints of suspected illegal narcotics activity at a residence on Jefferson Drive in Ponchatoula. Agents made numerous controlled buys from multiple subjects at the residence, purchasing suspected heroin, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine.
On April 2, 2018, TPSO, HPD, and Department of Homeland Security Aviation Unit executed a search warrant at 41432 Jefferson Drive in Ponchatoula. Serval subjected attempted to flee on foot but were soon apprehended. Detectives recovered approximately five ounces of suspected methamphetamine, approximately six grams of suspected crack cocaine, suspected Heroin and numerous dosage units of Adderall capsules.
Arrested were Shaquille Harris (26) of Ponchatoula, Kelvin Jackson (46) of Ponchatoula, Michael Hutcherson (32) of Hammond, Letcher Cyprian (47) of Hammond, Bryant Womack, Jr. (26) of Hammond, and Demarkeal Pines (17) of Hammond.
