Hester J. Hartfield, age 74 and a resident of Angie, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. She was born in Bogalusa, LA on May 24, 1943 to Manson N. Jenkins and Edith Holden Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Howard Hartfield of Angie, LA; two daughters, Tina Anderson of Fresno, TX, and Elvora (Robert) Hunt of Franklinton, LA; two sons, James (Darla) Hartfield of Bogalusa, LA, and Howard Hartfield, Jr. of Varnado, LA; a sister, Lolie King of Varnado, LA. Also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manson N. Jenkins and Edith Holden Jenkins; and a brother, Hardy Jenkins.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chad Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Spencer Cemetery.
