Bogalusa Police Quickly Solves Fraud Case

Tuesday (October 31, 2017), the Bogalusa Police Department was notified by a victim that someone had made fifteen (15) unauthorized and fraudulent transactions using her credit card. Charges of $5,085.75 had been made using the credit card and the victim stated that her credit card company reimbursed her $1,525.00.
The victim's credit card statement indicated that the transactions were made by a local business, Bogalusa's Best Electronics Repair. The victim had conducted business with the local business on October 5, 2017 and used her credit card to make a $60.00 transaction.
Officers interviewed the owner of Bogalusa's Best Electronics Repair, Jeremy Woods (36) of Bogalusa. During the interview, Woods confessed that he had memorized the victim's credit card information and used it to make the transactions.
Woods was placed under arrest and booked on the charge of Theft between $1000.00 and $5,000.00.
