Plea in Sex Case of Franklinton Boy and Texas Woman

Martha Ojeda (41) of Pflugerville, Texas, pled guilty as charged Thursday (October 6, 2017) to a one-count Bill of Information charging her with interstate travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a 15-year-old from Franklinton.
According to the court documents, in late February 2017, Ojeda met the 15-year-old, who resided in Franklinton, Louisiana, on a social networking website. From February until early April, they exchanged sexually explicit correspondence  on numerous occasions that included images and videos.
On about April 8, 2017, Ojeda traveled by commercial bus and then by taxi from Texas to the minor’s Franklinton home.  Ojeda and the minor then traveled to New Orleans, where they stayed in a hotel room together and engaged in sexual intercourse.  On about April 9, 2017, Ojeda and the minor traveled to Texas, eventually living together in Pflugerville until the minor was recovered by Special Agents with the FBI on May 12, 2017.
Ojeda faces up to 30 years in prison followed by up to a lifetime of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo set sentencing for December 14, 2017.
