Buford Mizell
September 9, 1928 - October 5, 2017


BUFORD MIZELL, age 89 and a resident of the Springhill/Enon Community, died Thursday morning October 5, 2017 at his home. He was a United States Army veteran and later a member of the Louisiana National Guard for 35 years. Buford was a business teacher at Sullivan Vocational School for over 30 years. He was a longtime member and deacon of Enon Baptist Church. Buford enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He also enjoyed camping with his family all along the Gulf Coast and liked to visit with his neighbors, friends and family.
Survived by: Wife of 64 years: Martha Bateman Mizell of the Enon/Springhill Community; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Greg and Dawn Mizell, Steve and Patty Mizell all of the Enon/Springhill Community; Daughter and Son in law: Karen and Mark Watson of Enon/Springhill Community; 3 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Brandi Mayeaux and Seth Mayeaux, Robert Mizell, Tyler Mizell; Great-granddaughter: Addison Soileau; Sister: Joann Mizell of Isabel
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Mizell and Beatrice Reviere Mizell and a brother Richard A. Mizell.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday October 6th from 6 pm until 9 pm. A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held at 10 am on Saturday in the Mizell Cemetery near Enon.
