Tob Wilson Road Shooter Found Guilty

Source: WPSO Press Release
Khiri K. Daniels (27) of Kenner, who terrorized a homeowner on Tob Wilson Road in the Clifton community of Washington Parish August 28, 2015, was found guilty today (September 29, 2017) of attempted first degree murder, attempted armed robbery, aggravated battery and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He will be sentenced at a later date for his crimes.
Daniels and an accomplice confronted the homeowner in his yard and forced him inside his house where they physically assaulted him. The homeowner broke free but as he ran from the residence, Daniels shot the homeowner in the lower back and Daniels and his accomplice then fled. Using the homeowner's video security system and DNA evidence, Washingon Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were able to identify Daniels as the intruder with the pistol.
Detectives learned Daniels fled Washington Parish, hid out in New Orleans, and then fled to Lawrenceville, Georgia. Daniels was arrested in Georgia and extradited to Louisiana.  Although this is the first time Daniels has been arrested for a crime committed in Washington Parish, he has a lengthy criminal history of arrests for similar offenses of armed robbery, simple robbery, aggravated burglary and aggravated battery.
