Passed Out Angie Man Booked by Bogalusa PD

Bogalusa Police Department officers responded Friday (September 1, 2017) to a report of a person who was passed out on the sidewalk next to the Texaco Convenience Store on Avenue F. After several attempts, officers were able to wake the individual who was identified as Donald Rogers (58) of Angie. 
At first, Rogers gave officers a fake name. Officers attempted a “pat down” but Rogers started backing away and then started running. Officers gave chase and caught him in front of the store. Rogers resisted the officers but was finally handcuffed and placed under arrest. 
Rogers had a back pack with him that contained a pack of cigarettes with suspected heroin in the cigarette pack. Jail   personnel observed Rogers attempting to conceal an item that was inside his shoe. The item was a pill bottle key chain that contained 6 blue pills identified as Oxycodone and 7 green pills identified as Alprazolam.
Rogers was booked and with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Schedule 2 Narcotics, Possession of Schedule 4 Narcotics, Introduction of Contraband (City Jail) and 2 counts of Resisting an Officer.
