Darius Rodell Bickham

Darius Rodell Bickham, age 36, passed away September 1 2017. He  was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Mr. Roshell Bickham and Mrs. Norma Jean Bickham. He accepted Christ at an early age at St. John’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Franklinton, Louisiana.
While growing up in Franklinton with his parents and older brothers, Grandin and Ralph, Darius enjoyed playing sports including baseball, football and basketball. He attended Franklinton High School and graduated from Emerson Academy in Slidell, Louisiana. After high school, Darius attended Southern University New Orleans and the University of New Orleans.
With a love for cooking, Darius worked as a chef at several restaurants in the New Orleans area including Spirits in the Hilton Riverside Hotel, Hooter’s, and Copeland’s.
Darius leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Atravian; parents, Roshell and Norma; two brothers, Grandin (Kendra) of Friendswood, Texas and Ralph (Shaniece) of New Orleans, Louisiana; three foster brothers, Alton Wilson, James Terrebonne both of New Orleans, LA, and Tremaine Johnson of Franklinton, LA; three nieces, Lindsay, Lauren and Kirsten; four nephews, Chandler, Gavin, Raphael II and Gryson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mouton Davis, Sr. and Roxie Davis and his paternal grandparents Sherman Bickham and Audrey Bickham.
Darius is most remembered by his beautiful smile. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Washington Street, Franklinton, LA.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness, 2200 Greenlaw Street, Franklinton, LA.
