Bogalusa Police and DEA Present Drug Prevention Program

On Monday, September 11th, the Bogalusa Police and the DEA hosted a drug prevention program at the Northshore Charter School in Bogalusa. The program included area speakers, who talked to the students and showed the video titled "Chasing the Dragon" about Opioid/Heroin addiction.
Host speakers were Agent George Cazenavette of the DEA and Major Percy Knight of the BPD. Other speakers included Dr. Rebecca Desfor of Our Lady of Angels Hospital, Shane Jones of the US Attorney's Office, Councilwoman Gloria Kates, Fredrick Tommy Seals and Tracey Galloway, who shared testimonies of their own drug addiction and recovery with the students.
The DEA and BPD will be hosting another drug prevention program on Monday, September 18th at the Bogalusa High School starting at 8:30 AM for the Jr. High students and 10:00 AM for the High School Students. Also on September 18th at 1:00 PM the program will be presented to the students of
Youthbuild Bogalusa.
