Mandeville Police Conducting a Rape Investigation

At approximately 6:30 Saturday (August 5, 2017) morning, Mandeville Police responded to an area hospital on the report of an alleged rape that was reported to have taken place at the victim’s residence on Monroe Street.
The 53 year old victim (who was driven to the hospital by a friend) reported that she was asleep on her living room sofa when she was awoken by a white male standing over her and rubbing on her body. The victim stated that she was overpowered by the subject, beaten and then raped for an extended period of time. Before leaving, the suspect reportedly took the victim’s ID and threatened to kill her if she reported the rape.

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 5’7” in height, weight around 140 pounds, lean build, wearing a horizontal brown striped crew neck t-shirt, knee length grey shorts, black ankle socks, tan tennis shoe with an oval tattoo on the exterior of his calf, approximately 4 inch around of a dark unknown image. Suspect may have fingernail scratch marks about his face and neck and head. Attached is a composite of our suspect.
