Sources: Slidell Police Department and theadvocate.comYesterday (August 11, 2017), Slidell Police and the U. S. Marshall's Task force arrested Lawrence Handley (49) at a motel in Slidell. Handley was wanted out of Lafayette for Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Second Degree Kidnapping and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Attempted Second Degree Kidnapping.
According to The Advocate , police believe Handley orchestrated the kidnapping of a woman by two men. The two men drowned in the waters of the Intracoastal Waterway in Port Allen while trying to get away from police.
