BPD Respond to Report of Meth Operation in Residence

Bogalusa Police Department patrol officers from Shift "D" got information Thursday (August 3, 2017) about a large amount of Methamphetamines in a residence located in the 800 block of Avenue D. Officers obtained a search warrant to search the residence for narcotics.
A suitcase contained marijuana, suboxone, a scale and empty baggies for resale of drugs. A jacket contained pills packaged for sale, 17.47 grams of meth packaged for sale and empty baggies. A large case of cold medicine, used in the preparation of crystal meth, was also found in the search of the residence.
Randy S. Courtney (40) of Bogalusa was arrested on the charges of Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule 2 Drugs (3 counts), Conspiracy to Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 2 drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 3 Drugs, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 4 Drugs (2 counts), Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 Drugs (Marijuana).
Courtney had a large amount of cash on him at the time of arrest.
