Obituary

Virgie Seal Branch
December 15, 1929 - July 16, 2017



VIRGIE SUE SEAL BRANCH, AGE 87 and a resident of the Stateline Community died Sunday afternoon July 16, 2017 at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa. She was a longtime member of Stateline Missionary Baptist Church that enjoyed traveling, often to Gatlinburg, TN. Virgie worked for many years as a seamstress for Haspel Brothers in Columbia and later in Tylertown. She used her love of sewing to make dresses, wedding gowns and children’s clothes for countless families throughout her community. She also loved tending her beautiful flowers and cooking for her family and friends.
Survived by: Daughter: Linda Branch Magee of Stateline; 2 Grandchildren and Spouses: Stacie and Dewayne Rogers of Stateline, Jeff and Stephanie Magee of Franklinton; 3 Great-grandchildren and a Spouse: Britney and Jeremy Lynn, Chelsea Rogers, Lauren Magee; Brother and Sister in law: William and Gail Seal of Angie; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Branch, parents John Seal and Evie Duncan Seal, brothers John Warren Seal, Wilton “Buddy” Seal and Conrad Seal.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday July 18th from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday at Stateline Missionary Baptist Church from 12 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm with Eld. Donnie Broom, Eld. Billy Ray Hines and Eld. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Seal Cemetery.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Resthaven Living Center for their care and support through the years.
