Emma Jean Alford McDaniel
August 11, 1938 - July 11, 2017
EMMA JEAN ALFORD MCDANIEL, AGE 78 and a resident of Baton Rouge died at 10:40 am Tuesday July 11, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Washington Parish and a former longtime employee of the Disability Department of the State of Louisiana. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially the delicious Christmas candy each year. Emma Jean liked to travel throughout the country and watch her favorite soap operas every afternoon. She was always an outgoing person that enjoyed visiting with new people she met.
Survived by: Longtime Companion and Best Friend: Jack Rainey of Baton Rouge; 2 Daughters and Sons in law: Sue Ellen and Scott Shelton of Prairieville, Kattie and Paul Trippi of Watson; 5 Grandchildren and Spouses: Brittney and Jonathan Tynes, Bradley and Julie Roberts, Meghan Ashcraft, Abagail Trippi, Gabrial Trippi, Emma Trippi; 2 Great-grandsons: Kaleb and Noah; Brother and Sister in law: Hughie and Betty Alford of Hammond; Sister in law: Sue Alford of Mt. Hermon; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents Creason Alford and Claudie McElveen Alford and a brother Wayne Alford.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday July 14th from 9 am until 1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
