Edgar Magee
January 16, 1942 - July 07, 2017


Edgar Magee was born to the late Brunell Benton Magee and Gussie Lee Martin Magee on January 16, 1942. He was the first born of eight children. He became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church at a young age.
In 1964, he married Verna Lee Johnson of Franklinton, LA and soon after they started a family and moved to Seattle, WA where he was employed at Boeing where he was a painter and a Shop Stewart for more than 30 years. He was a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Seattle.
His parents, Brunell and Gussie Magee preceded him in death as well as two brothers, James Troy Magee and Edward Charles Magee.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Verna L. Johnson; one son, Frederick A, Magee; two daughters, Donesha S. Magee, and Shakema L. Magee both of Seattle, WA; his only grandchild, Dorian Magee Petty of Seattle WA, he also leaves behind his remaining siblings, four brothers, Calvin (Almeta) Magee, Rev. Larry ( Marilyn) Magee, Albert (Francis) Magee, all of Franklinton, LA, and Runell (Elnora) Magee of Renton, WA; one sister, Winona James of Franklinton, LA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 PM New Jerusalem Baptist Church with – Rev. Johnny Causey Pastor and Rev. Larry Magee Officiating. Interment will be at Magee Cemetery.
