Bogalusa Police Department officers stopped a vehicle Sunday (July 16, 2017) in the 500 Block of Avenue B for failure to use a turn signal. The driver, Boyd Jones (50) of Bogalusa, was arrested for an active Bogalusa City Court attachment for not appearing in court.
As officers were inventorying the vehicle for towing, a bag reportedly containing a large amount of marijuana packaged for sale was located behind the passenger seat. The large bag contained 19 bags of marijuana, a pipe for smoking marijuana, screens (filters) for the pipe along with some rolling papers.

Jones was arrested on the charges of Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone and Driving under suspension.
