Pike County Seeing a Spike in Burglaries

From the Pike County Mississippi Sheriff's Office
The Pike County Sheriff's Office has received numerous Burglary calls in the last week. Residences have been burglarized on Cole Thomas Rd., Brooks Rd., J.J. Carter Rd., Franks Rd., Statham Simmons Rd., Moak Rd. and Hwy 48 Ext.
If anyone has information on these crimes or any other crimes please call the Pike County Sheriff's Office at 601-783-6767 or Crime Stoppers 601-684-0033.
The Investigations Division would like to remind the public to photograph and record serial numbers for all electronics, firearms, power tools, etc. A cheap, but effective home surveillance option is to install Wildlife Trail Cameras around the perimeter of residences and buildings. Cameras should be placed high enough to avoid detection by criminals and at an angle to avoid white light backwash at night.
