Woman Robbed at Gun-point in Online Buy/Sell/Trade Transaction

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith is reminding residents to be cautious when meeting people they connect with through online buy/ trade/sell sites after a woman was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night (January 5, 2017).
Pretending to be a 15 year-old girl, Devin Stogner (17) lured the woman to a Slidell residence saying he was interested in buying some jewelry she had advertised for sale. When she arrived, Stogner, dressed in a dark-colored hoodie and camouflaged ski mask, jumped from the bushes, produced what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, demanded the lady open her car door, and robbed her of her purse and cellphone and then fled from the area.
Investigators identified Stogner as the suspect in the robbery, arrested him Friday morning, and booked him on one count of armed robbery. The victim’s purse and cell phone were located at his residence, and the firearm, which was determined to be a BB gun, was located in his bedroom.
