Marsha "Shelly" Brandon
August 19, 1976 - May 30, 2026
Marsha “Shelly” Brandon, age 49, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. Though she courageously faced many health challenges throughout her life, Shelly met each day with strength, determination, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved most.
A lifelong resident of Washington Parish, Shelly graduated from Bogalusa High School with the Class of 1994. Following graduation, she answered the call to serve her country by enlisting in the United States Navy, where she proudly served for four years. Her heart for helping others continued long after her military service, leading her to a career in nursing. For 16 years, Shelly dedicated herself to caring for and comforting others, making a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and families through her compassion, kindness, and gentle spirit.
Shelly found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching horror movies, enjoying episodes of Criminal Minds and Blue Bloods, and immersing herself in the magical world of Harry Potter. She never passed up an opportunity for a trip to Bath & Body Works, and those who knew her best will always remember the excitement and happiness those outings brought her.
Above all, Shelly cherished her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. No matter what challenges she faced, she always made time for the people she loved. She eagerly anticipated the arrival of her newest grandson, Stetson Colt Provost, due in September, and her love for him was already evident long before his arrival.
Shelly leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her memory: her devoted husband, Jon Brandon, who faithfully stood by her side through every season of life; her daughter, Alexis Cheyenne Provost (Christopher Jayden); her son, Alexander Scott Isenhour; her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Roy Provost and Carolyn Rose Provost; her awaited grandson, Stetson Colt Provost; her mother, Connie Morgan; her grandmother, Helen Mizell; her sister, Mandy Morgan Tervalon (Troy Scott); her father-in-law, Ted Brandon (Betty Brandon); her brother-in-law, Jason Allen Brandon (Christopher Romero); and numerous extended family members and dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Morgan; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Sue Landrum; and her sister-in-law, April Michelle Brandon.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and care shown to Shelly throughout her journey.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Chris McClellands will officiate the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Though her time here was far too short, Shelly’s legacy of service, compassion, resilience, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
