Madison Louis Mitchell

November 7, 1940 - December 25, 2025

Madison Louis Mitchell, age 85 and of Tylertown, MS, passed away from this life December 25, 2025. He was born in Mt. Hermon, LA, on November 7, 1940, to Enos Mitchell and Grace Birch Mitchell.

Louis loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed telling stories of the past. Some of his hobbies included hunting and repairing old motor homes and lawn mowers.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Geneva Mitchell; sons, Tommy Mitchell and Toney Mitchell; daughter, Tracy Mitchell; brothers, Jerry Mitchell and James Mitchell; and sisters, Doris Duncan and Louise Mitchell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tammy Rials (Vince) and Terry Mitchell (Sonya); brothers in law, Otis Morris (Karen), Larry Morris (Dolly), and Eugene Morris (Karen); sister, Annette Lee; sisters in law, Mary Polk and Ann Thornhill (Ronnie); 29 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.

The family would like to specially thank the staff at Lakeview Medical Center in Covington, LA, Med Centris, and St. Luke Home Health of McComb, MS for their care.
