Donna Sue Breland Crain
March 5, 1951 - August 29, 2025
Our most precious and loving angel, Donna Sue Breland Crain, made her final journey home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2025, at her home in the Stateline community of Franklinton, Louisiana. Donna was born on March 5, 1951, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Gloria Middleton Alford Hyde and lived there until her recent move to Stateline. She passed away surrounded by the love of her husband of 53 years, Donnie, and her two children, Chad and Jennifer (along with their families). Donna’s life was an example of Christ, love, and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Middleton Alford Hyde, her father Walter Pete Alford, and her birth father, Don Breland. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Ray Crain, her son, Chad Crain (Monica), and her daughter, Jennifer Crain Seal (Rand). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Austin Crain, Breelyn Seal, Levi Seal, and Logan Seal. Also surviving are her brother, Greg Alford (JoAnn), as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other family members.
Donna spent many of her adult years managing Danny’s Fried Chicken in Bogalusa and then working as a paraprofessional in the Bogalusa City School System. She was very involved in her church and her beloved homemaker’s group, the Town and Country Homemakers. However, what she enjoyed the most was spending her days with her family. She never missed an event her children were involved in, and she attended all of them with happiness and love. She was a devout follower of Christ and lived her life as an example to Him. She will be remembered as someone who truly lived their life for others and many times put their happiness first.
The family would like to extend their prayers, thoughts, and empathy to the patients of dementia, as well as their family and friends. May God be with you all.
Pallbearers will be Austin Crain, Jason Crain, Justin Crain, Kevin Herring, Stan Herring, and Aaron Middleton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 3rd at Pine First Baptist Church. Family is invited to attend from 9:00 A.M. – 9:30 A.M., with viewing open to the public from 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. with a burial to follow at Carson Springs Baptist Church in Sandy Hook, Mississippi.
