Shelly Rene Taylor
October 24, 1977 - July 31, 2025
Shelly Rene Taylor, age 47 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Thursday morning July 31, 2025 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born on October 24, 1977 and graduated from Provencal Christian Academy near Natchitoches, LA, where she made many wonderful friends. Shelly loved photography, taking countless pictures of the beautiful sky and outdoor scenes. She loved angels and butterfly pictures, statues and collectibles, even naming her beloved pet cat “Angel”. She was truly a caring and thoughtful person, often calling or messaging family, friends or even acquaintances, encouraging words of comfort during difficult times in their lives. Shelly never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with all the different people that she met. She had a passion for the military servicemen and women she would see and always went up to thank them for their service to our great country. Shelly never went a day without talking to or visiting her parents and ended every conversation with “I Love You”. She had a special saying that she shared with her parents and others during tough times “Let it go, because God does it right”, a true statement her loved ones will hold on to forever as they wait to be with her again in Heaven.
