The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM on July 28, 2025
The Purple Heart is one of our nation’s most distinguished military honors, awarded to those wounded or killed in action while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. This ceremony is to officially proclaim Washington Parish a Purple Heart Parish — a symbol of our lasting gratitude for the sacrifices made by our service members.
