Mardie Malone Hodges

May 27, 1953 - July 27, 2025

Mardie Malone Hodges, age 72 and a resident of the Stoney Point community, passed away on Sunday morning July 27, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton. He was born on May 27, 1953. He attended Franklinton High School. He helped his family operate a dairy farm for many years and had a long career in the offshore field. Mardie worked for a few different companies, serving more than 30 years, before retiring from British Petroleum. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton. He had a fun sense of humor, always laughing and cracking jokes with his family. Mardie loved camping, riding motorcycles and always loved spending time with his family and will be sadly missed.

Survived by: Wife of 23 years: Pam Hodges; Son and Daughter in law: Dustin and Kelly Hodges; Daughter: Sissy Hodges Steimle; Grandchildren: Adalyn Hodges, Davin Hodges, Cole Mire, Zack Steimle, Tristen Steimle; 3 Sisters and brothers in law: Lena Louise and Raymond Bennett, Debra Freeman all of Franklinton, Charlotte Diane and John Meister of Amite; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert Hodges, Sr. and Pearlie Sharp Hodges, brother Delbert L.“Goat’ Hodges, Jr., sister Norma Jean Vanover, brother in law James Freeman and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday July 31st from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Keith Sheridan officiating.
