Mrs. Ruth Mae Magee, 81, a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, LA under the loving care of St. Catherine’s Hospice Staff.
Mrs. Ruth was born November 4, 1935 in Kemper, Mississippi. She was the daughter of J.B. McDonald and Carlean Houston. She now joins her husband of 54 years the late Mr. O.J. Magee.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories one daughter, Barbara Shields (Percy), Redding of California; one son, Cedric (Mary) Magee, Alexandria, LA; six step daughters: Mildred Martin of Los Angeles, California; Jeanette Magee of Lemon Grove, California; Janette Smith of Sacramento, California; Helen Ford of Long Beach, California; Gwendolyn Thibodeaux of Compton, California; one stepson, Robert Magee of Compton, California; six loving sisters, Pearlean (Lovie) Clark of DeKalb, MS; Annie Mae Brown of Taylorsville, MS; Clara (Elbert) Brown of Taylorsville, MS; Easter Love of DeKalb, MS; Diane Burton of Dekalb, MS; Brenda McDonald of Taylorsville, MS; 6 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00a.m. at Crain & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton, LA. Internment will follow at Winan Cemetery.
