Government Meetings

The Washington Parish Council is the legislative body of Washington Parish Government and has regular meetings twice a month, generally on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6 PM in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the Washington Parish Courthouse in Franklinton. Meetings are open to the public.

The legislative power of the City of Bogalusa is vested in a council which meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the courtroom at City Hall.

The Franklinton Board of Aldermen's regular meetings are held twice per month and take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers located at Town Hall, 301 11th Avenue.

The Washington Parish School Board meets in regular session at the Washington Parish School Board Office Building, 800 Main Street, Franklinton, Louisiana. The meeting schedule may be accessed at https://www.wpsb.org/about
