Jeanette Barbara Hibbett Husser

December 15, 1935 - February 20, 2021

Jeanette Barbara Hibbett Husser, age 85 and a resident of Franklinton, died Saturday morning February 20, 2021. She was born in Atlanta on December 15, 1935 but spent her young life in the Covington area. Jeanette worked at Rutter Rex and the Haspel Garment Plant for several years but spent most of her adult life working alongside her family on their successful dairy farm. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family, especially the delicious fried chicken or spaghetti. Jeanette was a longtime member of Canaan Baptist Church and always a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Nolan Husser, Jr. and Kathy Stewart Husser of Franklinton; Daughter and Son in law: Cathy and Monty Moore of Huntsville, AL; 3 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Chris Nolan Husser, Jennifer Husser Zachary and Lance Zachary, Rachelle Moore; 7 Great-grandchildren: Nicholas Husser, Adrianna Husser, Kayleigh Husser, Anthony Husser, Jordan Zachary, Daniel Zachary, Matthew Zachary; 3 Brothers and Sisters in law: Hoffman Hibbett, Jr. and Katherine Hibbett, Rexel and Ann Hibbett all of Covington, Larry Ross of Bayou Gauche, LA; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband Elwin Nolan Husser, Sr., parents Hoffman D. Hibbett, Sr. and Lydie Champagne Hibbett, a sister Lola LaCroix and other family members.

Visitation will be at Canaan Baptist Church (18486 Sanders Road, Franklinton) on Tuesday February 23rd from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Stan Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
