Obituary

Roy Perrin

December 6, 1962 - January 5, 2021

On January 5, 2021, Mr. Roy Perrin passed away peacefully in his home. He was a longtime resident of Gretna, LA, but had moved to Bogalusa about five years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Snell Perrin; two daughters: Kristy (Joshua) Smith and Amber (Charles) Hudson; his father: Merlin Perrin, Sr.; one brother: Merlin (Yvette) Perrin, Jr.; two sisters: Mary Perrin Harvey and Margo (Calvin) Franklin; one aunt: Jean Caulfield; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Perrin was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Adam Perrin; his grandmother: Loretta “Cricket” Perrin; and a grandfather: August Perrin.

Mr. Roy Perrin was master electrician for over 30 years serving the westbank of New Orleans, LA. He was a music and food enthusiast that was accompanied by travels from all over. Mr. Perrin was a devote hunter and fisherman, but nothing compared to his pancake dates with his granddaughter. He possessed a will-to-live and strong mind, being a two-time cancer survivor. Mr. Perrin will be sadly missed by family and anyone who ever knew him.

Services will be on January 11, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gretna, Louisiana. A Memorial Service will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Catholic Mass will be at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
