Obituary

Adylin Karol Nelson

December 14, 2009 - December 25, 2020

Our beautiful miracle baby Adylin Karol Nelson was born December 14, 2009 and the angels came and got her peacefully in her sleep on December 25, 2020. She was eleven years and eleven days old. She is now in heaven waiting with her older brother for her mama and daddy Tonya and Jerry Nelson and her siblings Ayriana, Audrey, and Jacen, all of Pine, Louisiana.

Adylin’s favorite color was pink. She loved to read books day and night, even though she’d get in trouble for staying up late on school nights. Adylin loved to write songs, stories, poems, lists, and coupons. She loved singing in the youth choir and going to church whenever the doors were open. She especially loved Sunday school, children’s church, AWANAS, and church fellowships. She loved words and was so excited to attend the MAIS overall spelling bee on January 15, 2021. We’re sure she told some of you all about it. She loved making bracelets and cards for the people she loved. She loved so deeply, and she was so smart and creative. One of her favorite places to eat was the English Tea Room even though she only ate the scones and sugar cubes. She loved Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets and their frosted lemonade. She was such a picky eater: meat, cheese, and junk food. Adylin’s very most favorite thing to do was spend time with her daddy, mama, Ayriana, Audrey, and especially Jacen, her very best friend. Adylin is so very loved by her family, and we miss her so very much. She never hesitated to help someone or offer her opinion because she was so bluntly honest, like her friend Mrs. Toni.

Adylin is so special; she is truly set apart. She gave her life to Jesus at 9 years old and was baptized in her home church Bens Ford Missionary Baptist Church by her pastor Bro. Caleb Martin. God gave Adylin to us while we were in a storm to calm our pain and we are confident that God sent His angels to bring her home peacefully so that her life, her testimony could speak to others as they go through their own storms and draw them to Jesus. She is truly a miracle that God has used as a testament to His faithfulness and we know He will continue to do so. We encourage you to look at Adylin’s sweet, precious life and know that we are not promised tomorrow but we are promised eternal life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Adylin has 2 precious people who went to glory before her, her big brother who was carried to glory 14 days before she was formed and her Aunt Ettie Sue Spence whom she called “Aunt Soup.”

Visitation will be at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church (58521 Hwy. 439, Bogalusa) on Wednesday December 30th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm with Bro. Caleb Martin, Bro. Lynn Martin and Bro. Jimmy Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
