Jesse Knight Conner, Sr.
September 9, 1949 - December 18, 2020
Jesse Knight Conner, Sr., age 71 and a resident of the Hilltop Community died Friday afternoon December 18, 2020 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Noxubee County and former longtime resident of Shuqualak, MS, where he was commonly known as “Jay Knight”. Jesse graduated from East Mississippi Community College as a certified mechanic and worked for many years at the Ford and Chevrolet dealerships in Macon, MS while also owning a mechanic shop at his home. Jesse loved being in the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Survived by: Wife: Juwana Luper Conner; Son: Jesse Knight Conner, Jr.; Daughter and Son in law: Theresa and Lamar Alsobrooks; 3 Grandchildren: Will Alsobrooks, Jesse Alsobrooks, Dakota Alsobrooks; Sister: Betty Denny; Brothers in law and a Sister in law: Kevin and Sheret Luper, Craig Luper; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Everett Conner and Dora Knight Conner and a brother in law Bob Denny.
In a private ceremony, Jesse will be laid to rest alongside his parents in the Eaves Cemetery in Shuqualak.
