Jewlene Fortenberry Jenkins

December 10, 1954 - November 09, 2020

Jewelene Fortenberry Jenkins was born on December 10, 1954 to the late Inez Fortenberry and late Woodrow Dawson. At an early age she joined Winan Methodist Church. She married the late Hezzie Jenkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Evangaline Tate and Cuarry Fortenberry; six grandchildren, Chasity Jenkins, Avante’ (Jonathan) Jenkins, D’Jamian Harry, Aishia James, Tobias King, and Christian King; six great-grandchildren, Cherish, Jayce, D’Jyiah, Taylon, Jonathan Jr., and Chayce; she leaves behind two sisters, Jeanette Brumfield of Vernon and Wyvonia McClain of Franklinton; two brothers, Jenard Fortenberry of Franklinton and Rodney Fortenberry of Angola;  three sisters-in- law, Mildred Jenkins, Johnny Ruth Jenkins, and Sarah Callahan; two brothers-in- law, Bruce Jenkins and Robert Bickham; she also leaves behind special friends, Errica and Terence Dawson, Ms. Kitty Mae Thompson, Debra Robinson, and Dorothy Stewart, and Toni Doucette; a special niece Theresa Jenkins; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her two sons, Aquarian Fortenberry and Rickey Fortenberry; four sisters, Joann Bickham, Linda Fortenberry, Dorothy Fortenberry, and Doris Simmons. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
