Mary Louise Freeman Stubbs

May 31, 1944 - October 19, 2020

Mary Louise Freeman Stubbs, age 76 and a resident of Thomas, died Monday morning October 19, 2020 at Good Samaritan Living Center after a lengthy illness. She was an active member of Pine First Baptist Church that loved the Lord and her church family. She loved to help others through the church and was active in the Benevolence ministries and diaper and blanket missions to provide for those in need. Mary Louise was a member of the church’s Happy Hearts group and she always enjoyed visiting or eating out with her friends and going on shopping trips. She loved taking care of her household and cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Garry and Tyra Stubbs; 3 Daughters and Sons in law: Debbie and Rex McCain, Theresa Foster, Michelle and Kendall Amacker; Grandchildren and Spouses: Heather Scardina, Misti and Jamie Stewart, Charlie and Oona Foster, Shane Foster, Jessica and Cole Schilling, Justin DiCarlo and Christa, Chris and Jolena Foster, Steve Foster, Savannah and Mastin Myrick, Libby Amacker; 12 Great-grandchildren and an expected great-grandchild; Brother: Vernon Freeman; 3 Sister in law: Shirley Stubbs, Beatrice Evans, Dottie McKenzie; Special Cousins: Rita Mae Breland, Madelaine Jones; Special Friend: Janie Knight; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Stubbs, parents Acie Freeman and Molly Creel Freeman, an infant sister Eloise Freeman, brothers Dewitt Freeman, Edward Earl Freeman, Dennis Lloyd Freeman, Dale Freeman, 4 brothers in law, 3 sisters in law.

Visitation will be at Pine First Baptist Church (27043 Hwy 62, Franklinton) Thursday October 22nd from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. David Easterling and Rev. Larry Lasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Good Samaritan Living Center and Community Care Hospice for all their care and support.
