United Way SELA and Shell is excited to bring a virtual STEM Saturday (September 19, 2020) from
10:00 am to 12:00 noon for children in Washington parish, ages K-12.
Pre-registration is required so that the needed STEM kits can be distributed prior to the event date. All required materials will be provided through Shell and United Way except for a computer and Wi-Fi (see flyer for more important information on technology requirements). Prior to the start of the camp, Zoom video conferencing will also need to be downloaded to the computer (choose the Zoom client for Meetings option).
Design, Build, and Test Your Own Car
Participating Students will learn about the principles of force and motion, learn about Newton Laws of Motion, make electric, gear, rubber band, or wind powered cars, and race their own car!
