David Reynold Mixon
September 18, 1954 - July 17, 2020
David R. Mixon a native of Tangipahoa parish and resident of Franklinton, LA, passed away on Friday July 17, 2020 at The Hospice House in Slidell, LA. He was born September 18, 1954 at Lallie Kemp Medical Center and was 65 years old.
After 38 years driving across the country and locally, he retired from being a truck driver. In his younger years he was a bull rider. PBR Bull Riding, Peterbuilts, and Country music brought him such joy.
He is survived by his Wife, Sharon Mixon of Franklinton; Son, Kyle Mixon of Amite; Daughter, Lacy Lane Mixon McIntyre of Mandeville; 2 Grandchildren; Grandson, Brannix Lane McIntyre and Granddaughter, Brianna Kate Day of Mandeville.
Preceded in death by Father Hezzie Mixon, Mother Bobbie Jean Walker Mixon, and Sister Debra Mixon McDaniel.
Graveside Services will be held at Sharon Cemetery, Amite, LA at 10:00AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Services conducted by Bro. Chris Wheeler.
