Lucille Varnado Weary
May 26, 1926 - June 29, 2020

Lucille B. Varnado Weary was born May 26, 1926 in Hackley, LA to the late Mr. Latimore and Harriet Hart Brumfield. As the Angels came withing the morning to gather you to rest in the arms of our Lord on June 29, 2020 at 7:00 AM at Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa, LA.

At an early age she joined Metropolitan Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA. Later in life she joined Harry’s Chapel UMC where she served as a member until death.

She leaves to cherish her memories seven children, Delores Varnado, Bobbie (Alvin) Beck both of Bogalusa, LA, Nercille (The late Eddie) Jefferson of Angie, LA, Emile Varnado (Christie), Donald (Carol) Varnado, Larry Varnado of Bogalusa, LA, Lamar Varnado of Houma, LA; twenty eight grandchildren, fifty seven great grandchildren, fifty great great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Magee (Willie Short) of Bogalusa, LA; one brother, Charles Ray Brumfield (Odessa) of Houma, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, M.J. Weary; three children, Luke Jr., Antonio and Dorothy and one granddaughter, Mona.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa with Rev. Nolan Robinson - Pastor Officiating. Interment will be at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
