Louisiana Attorney General Issues Opinion on Mask Mandate

Yesterday (July 15, 2020), Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry responded to requests for Attorney General Opinions related to Governor John Bel Edwards' "Mask Mandate". Click here to read the proclamation.

The Attorney General determined "that guidance for business owners and law enforcement is warranted" and issued La. Atty. Gen. Op. No. 20-0068. In short, the Attorney General stated that "it is my opinion as the chief legal officer of the State that the order does not pass the constitutional test".
